Capriccio
Capriccio Columbus has presented stirring vocal performances for over a decade.
Beginning with its debut concert in January 2007, Capriccio Columbus has featured the talents of outstanding vocal musicians. Their experiences vary, but they are united by a commitment to bring sophisticated and entertaining choral music to Columbus audiences.
Under founding Artistic Director Larry Griffin and Associate Director Karrie Horton, Capriccio covers a wealth of musical traditions, ranging from sacred and classical masterpieces to fresh takes on great standards. Singers are frequently accompanied by professional instrumentalists, ranging from orchestral strings to jazz combos.
In addition to its own independent seasonal schedules, Capriccio has performed in collaboration with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the Central Ohio Symphony, the Westerville Symphony and Otterbein University Choirs, and the Ohio State University Orchestra, Chorale and Symphonic Choir.
Capriccio has traveled to Costa Rica, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia to perform and was invited to sing with the Stacey V. Gibbs Chorale in Detroit and at Carnegie Hall.
